Marc Saint-Cyr studied cinema and history at the University of Toronto. A longtime writer for the J-Film Pow-Wow, he has also contributed to the Directory of World Cinema: France, the first and second volumes of the Directory of World Cinema: Japan, and World Film Locations: Tokyo from Intellect Ltd., as well as such publications as CineAction, Midnight Eye, Row Three, Senses of Cinema, Toronto Film Scene, and the VCinema Podcast and Blog. His cinematic tastes usually lean towards Asian and European films, though he is always looking around for fresh and exciting discoveries in world cinema. Beyond film, he holds an avid interest in reading, music, travel, bicycling, and photography.
